Feeling the need to go on a bit of a rant today. Still researching for article regarding government-funded stem cell research on human embryos, or as I like to call them, babies, but in the meantime, I think there is something that needs to be addressed among conservatives. The presidential primary is over, the presidential election is over, let that sink in for a moment then we will move on.
Our nation is in a state of chaos, mostly because the left refuses to accept the outcome of the election and has chosen to obstruct Trump’s agenda in every way possible. However, the democrats are not the only ones obstructing and delaying attempts to get this country back on the right track. In full disclosure, I was a die-hard Cruz supporter during the primaries and volunteered in his campaign. I could not stand Trump and quite honestly was appalled at some of the things he said and accusations he made, especially regarding Cruz’s family, did not help his case with me when he became the nominee. But, just like the rest of the country, I had a choice to make, and it all came down to the fact that I could not live with myself if I played any part in Hillary becoming President, so I voted for Trump.
History out-of-the-way, let’s fast forward to today. Most conservatives have moved on and accepted Trump as POTUS, his agenda is a conservative one and one that is good for the nation. Whether he stole it from Cruz as some have alleged, I don’t know, but that really does not matter at this point, does it? The election is over and it is time to get down to business and undo the damage done by the democrats and the Obama administration. That is not going to happen if conservatives spend all of their time fighting amongst themselves rather than standing up for the issues that we agree upon. It is sad to see conservatives battling over non-issues on social media. We are not all going to agree on every issue, but we are not fighting over actual issues, these back and forths are mostly centered around support for Trump in general. Holding grudges has never helped anyone, and only hurts the person who cannot let go.
Conservatives seem to have broken into three factions: those that supported Trump from the beginning and will defend him no matter what; those who supported other candidates in the primary but have accepted the results of the election and support Trump when they agree with him and call him out when they don’t; and then there are those that are still stuck in never-Trump mode. For those in the first group, Trump is not perfect and is going to make mistakes just like every other human being, he is not God, so how about we not try to make him into some kind of messiah and accept that he does have faults just like the rest of us, and even those that are supporting him will occasionally be unhappy with something he says or does? People should be able to disagree with a comment or action on Trump’s part without being attacked and treated like lepers because they hold an opinion different from yours. Disagreeing with some things that a President does is natural, and disagreeing with something Trump says or does, does not make someone a liberal.
The third group, those stuck in never-Trump mode. It is time to move on and look at the bigger picture, the issues are what is important for this country right now. You cannot call yourself a conservative and disagree with Trump’s entire agenda. You do not have to overlook things you dislike or even change our opinion on the issues, simply make them more important than the man. Many of you that find yourself in this group (although you probably are not following me) seem to be buying into what so far seems to be a setup by the DNC, the whole Russian collusion business. Are you aware that the actual evidence indicates the DNC was never hacked, but rather a DNC insider leaked the emails and implanted code to make it appear that their system was hacked? This information came out right around the time Seth Rich was murdered. Makes you wonder, does it not? How many people have committed suicide or died in “accidents” around the Clintons? I believe the number is somewhere around 35 so far, that we know of anyway.
Bottom line, our country has been on the wrong track for a very long time, it does not resemble anything close to what the founding fathers gave us or what our constitution says. Should we not be working together on the issues upon which we agree to move this nation back in the right direction rather than allowing everything to be derailed based upon one man and an election cycle that is over and done with and you cannot do a thing about? DCoutsider.org will always publish the truth, whether it is positive for Trump or negative for him, and it is my hope that we can all move past personality issues and put the pursuit of truth and the state of our nation first.
